Meet the Annie Sloaner of the year 2016
We were blown away by all the creative projects that readers submitted for our Annie Sloaner of the Year competition – and so was Annie! In fact, she was so impressed that she not only chose a winner, but also selected two other entries for a special mention.
Here they are!
Winner: Lee du Toit
What Annie Sloan had to say about Lee’s winning project: “This is an incredible transformation of a fairly standard piece of furniture. Lee really experimented with the paint, creating a rustic Mediterranean look.”
Highly commended: Sacha Olivier
Annie Sloan: “This entry really stood out. I loved the styling and how it all works together – it’s a great design piece.”
Highly commended: Maryna Volschenk
Annie Sloan: “Painting a kitchen is a tremendous undertaking. What Maryna has done by combining these colours has made an old-fashioned kitchen truly come alive. I love the Duckegg Blue of the pelmet.”
